Breaking: INEC declares Buhari winner of 2019 presidential election

    President Muhammadu Buhari has scored the highest votes in the 2019 presidential election polling 15,191,847 votes. His closest challenger and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 11,262,978 votes.

The result of all 36 states and Abuja have been declared at the INEC collation centre in Abuja.
Following the collation of results of the 23 February election the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate and incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the 2019 Presidential election on Wednesday.
Buhari defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and other presidential candidates with over 15,191,847 votes, winning in 19 of the states.
